Tuesday, August 13 in Segovia

Fernanda invited us to go to Segovia with her on our last day in Madrid. We were going to see an old Roman aqueduct and Alcázar de Segovia. Along to way there we had to go over the mountains. What absolute beauty.

We stopped at a church along the way, then continued on to Segovia. Wow, the aqueduct is impressive. We had something to eat under it. While there a Cochinillo was performed.

We went to the castle (Alcázar de Segovia). This castle is the one that Disney used as a model for his Cinderella Castle.

This castle is absolutely beautiful, and it does look like the castle at Disneyland. Didn’t see anyone singing “It’s a small world” there, though.

Spent a nice evening at Fernanda’s house and prepared for our next adventure on Wednesday. We will be off to Plymouth, UK, then Foss Quay by train, boat, taxi, ferry. That story will be in the next blog.
