Yes, it is El Pardo, a little town near Madrid.

In this town is the Royal Palace of El Pardo. It’s function was to house the royalty during hunting season. Now is used to greet Royal statesmen. In the following link, read under “history” and look under “gallery” for more details. It was the residence of General Franco during his reign.

Let me regress for a moment. This morning, after visiting a cathedral in El Pardo, we went for a cup of coffee and croissant. When the waiter brought the coffee, while setting it down, it spilled and flowed rapidly toward me. I went to move backward and behind me was a hole in the ground about six inches deep. Needless to say, I went down. Luckily, I didn’t loose too much skin. Whew! I got up ok as a young lady from across the park ran over to help me. Another incident averted.
