Saturday, August 17 in Foss Quay Cottage #2

Woke up to clear skies and a bright moon. Sun came up and it was a fine day as this was our second and last full day in Foss Quay and the first day was rained out.
We had a breakfast of eggs and toast and decided to go for a walk. Went to the “end” of the road / path and watched the birds and the tide recede. Came back to the cottage and had lunch, then went up the road the other way.
We found a soccer game in progress at the Millbrook AFC, so we stayed and watched. Not sure who won, but we had fries and a beer from the concession stand.

After the game, wandered around some more and noticed that the tide was coming in.
Back to the cottage again and called the taxi company to arrange for a large cab for 10am tomorrow morning. He will take us to the train station in Plymouth where will train to Bristol.
Checked the laundry and it wasn’t dry yet so Lilia opted to iron it.
We will pack up tonight.
